Sleepy Hollow Street Fair
Sick of the spooky season staple Sleepy Hollow Haunted Hayride? That’s blasphemy on this blog! JK…seriously though, switch it up at the Sleepy Hollow Street Fair. Likely a little-known event if you’re not a local, this annual open-air market is full of food and fun. There are sure to be caramel apples and other pumpkin spice season treats. Once you’re finished with the food vendors creep or crawl to the craft tables and the other bizarre booths along Beekman Ave.

Coraline Movie Night And Super Awesome Artland!

Halloween Weekend at the Children’s Museum
Halloween Weekend at the Children’s Museum is where spooky meets science. This Halloween-themed STEAM event features a “Monster Hide ‘n Seek” scavenger hunt, a green glowing dark room, and spiderweb weaving. The frightful fun doesn’t stop there! “Name ‘dem Bones” as kiddos study a skeleton to cultivate the crime scene investigator buried within; there will be “Ghost Pour Painting” and so much more! Come in costume and be ready to explore.

Historian & A Movie at Philipse Manor Hall
This hair-raising history and mystery movie event channels all bibliophiles who swear the book is better. First, cozy into the Goth Chamber to watch the king of cult, Tim Burton’s, 1999 version of “Sleepy Hollow”. If you can hold on to your candy corn through the movie, then you’ll be ready to listen and learn from a local historian about Hudson Valley heritage and Washington Irving’s short story, “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”.

The Twilight Zone: "The Monsters are Due on Maple Street" Radio Drama Live
“You are now entering the twilight zone…” Has a more iconic Alfred Hitchcock phrase been uttered? Conjure up the days when families would gather ‘round the radio in eerie anticipation for an audible-only broadcast. Modern-day true crime podcast fans will love this audio theater interpretation of “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street” brought to life (or death mua-haha) by the Sandbox Theatre players. This unnervingly unique performance is accessible to the blind and visually impaired. This is an adult event.

This petrified party takes place at The Barley Beach House, not to be confused with Skipper’s Treehouse of Horror. It is sure to be a ghastly good time so dig up your crypt creeper costumes and Vampire Bride Barbie ensembles so you don’t die from F.O.M.O.

Candlelight: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics at Play Group Theater
Spend your Sunday enjoying a spine-chilling serenade by an otherworldly orchestra. The Highline String Quartet leads this multisensory music experience and monster mashup of creepy cult classics by candlelight. If you ever wonder who you’re going to call and the immediate answer is GHOSTBUSTERS, then this event is for you. In the perfect afterlife, a zombie flash mob would dance during the Thriller set, but we make no paranormal promises. The Saturday shows are already sold out so hurry to snag your tickets to this highly coveted event.
